Tiny Turnip selected DiCentral Corporation, a global provider of B2B and API integration solutions, to enhance the relationship and comply with the EDI and business rule requirements of its largest retail customer, Fanatics, a global leader in licensed sports merchandise. The apparel manufacturer currently lists over 3500 unique products on the Fanatics e-commerce website, fulfilling 1500 dropship orders each month.
Tiny Turnip’s leadership sought to expand its dropship order volume with Fanatics by seven-fold within the calendar year. To meet this ambitious goal, the apparel manufacturer collaborated with DiCentral to enhance its internal supply chain and operational efficiencies.
BUSINESS CHALLENGES
Prior to partnering with DiCentral, members of Tiny Turnip’s team would spend an estimated 10-20 minutes per order to manually copy and paste each incoming order from Fanatics’ e-commerce website into its Shipping Easy shipping software for shipping-label processing. This methodology was not only labor-intensive but often delayed the order-acknowledgment and shipping notification status communication process with Fanatics. The retail dropship model, particularly in a fast-paced e-commerce environment, relies heavily on the collaboration between a retailer and its dropship suppliers on inventory levels. To this end, Tiny Turnip also sought to automate the eight-hour process of manually uploading SKU numbers to push inventory feeds to Fanatics, which prevented the company from listing more of its products on the Fanatics website.
SOLUTION
DiCentral’s team of integration specialists worked with Tiny Turnip to integrate all incoming Fanatics purchase orders into Shipping Easy and automate shipping statuses back to the Fanatics website and its customers. Tiny Turnip also leverages DiCentral’s cloud based B2B integration platform to automate purchase order acknowledgments and invoice transmissions to Fanatics. In addition, DiCentral automated the process of pushing inventory feeds to Fanatics to improve inventory visibility in an effort to increase SKU listings on the
Fanatics website.
RESULTS
Since partnering with DiCentral, Tiny Turnip has increased its order volume from 200 to 1500 orders per month, resulting in record revenue numbers for the company. By leveraging DiCentral’s API platform, Tiny Turnip has eliminated the 20-minute manual process of copying and pasting each order into its Shipping Easy software and has vastly improved shipping status (856) compliance with Fanatics. Thanks to DiCentral’s B2B integration solution, Tiny Turnip has also reduced the labor costs of manually pushing inventory levels to Fanatics from eight hours to less than 5 minutes, resulting in more accurate inventory feeds and enabling the apparel company to reassign personnel to more strategic efforts.

EQUIPPED FOR FUTURE GROWTH
As Tiny Turnip continues to scale processes to meet growth objectives, the company plans to leverage DiCentral’s hybrid integration platform to automate the process of integrating its growing number of orders into its QuickBooks Online software. The apparel company also looks forward to automating invoice transmission to Fanatics to comply with Major League Baseball’s royalty payment requirements, accelerate the order-to-cash process and reduce days sales outstanding to improve cash flow.
