HOUSTON – February 15, 2018 – Kansas-based TonerCycle/InkCycle, a wholesale remanufacturer and distributor of ink and toner cartridges, was one of the original users of DiCentral’s integration solution when it first entered the marketplace more than 15 years ago. The company’s history is lengthy and full of ongoing growth. Nearly 25 years ago, TonerCycle/InkCycle began collecting empty cartridges, reworking them in the founder’s basement, and selling them to nearby businesses. But now, with hundreds of employees and three distribution facilities, they re-engineer cartridges to the highest quality standards and distribute them for big box retail, private label branding and distribution programs, drop-shipment, and several hundred office product dealers of all shapes and sizes worldwide. Their fulfillment process is highly automated by a sophisticated tier-one ERP platform, and DiCentral integrated fully.

“We continue to grow at a rapid pace,” Kroenke said. “And we never would have been able to keep up with the demand without DiCentral. When an order is placed, it gets automatically released, and a ticket prints out in the warehouse within minutes. The package is brought over to the FedEx machine, and by the time they’re putting the label on the package, the tracking information is already on its way to the customer.”

Kroenke uses DiCentral’s suite to manipulate and map XML and delimited files, process ASN’s, and interface over the web using AS2 and FTP connections. The suite of solutions also allows the company to serve unique use cases.

“In settings like a hospital or a university where the logistics of delivering the right cartridge to the right person and printer can be a huge deal, software often automatically orders new cartridges as needed, along with detailed information about which printer in what department needs which particular item.”

DiCentral’s highly integrated solution helps pass along the detailed information from these orders all the way through to order tickets.
