Credits DiCentral’s EDI solution as a secret weapon in accelerated company growth.
Houston, Texas–March 16, 2018 DiCentral and Capacity LLC, a third-party logistics company (3PL), have spent more than a decade developing a successful partnership together. During the first 15 years of being in business, Capacity experienced a steady 10-20% increase in top line growth. As a result of client success and being well positioned for the recent e-Commerce boom, Capacity’s growth has more than doubled over the past two years.
Soon after inception, Capacity was asked by clients to support their growing EDI requirements. Early solutions were very rudimentary, and in a multi-client environment we resorted to crude DOS-based scripts to facilitate our work on behalf of numerous brands. EDI was not really a ‘standard’, and each client and retailer had different requirements. Capacity needed a solution that could scale grow with clients’ growing businesses and free up employee and IT resources to focus more on core job responsibilities, like fulfilling orders.
When vetting solutions, Capacity selected DiCentral for its reliable IT support, similar to that of their own in-house team. Since then, DiCentral has provided Capacity with a solution format that has onboarded hundreds of EDI relationships and monitored all of the necessary specific changes for more than a decade.
Thom Campbell, Chief Strategy Officer for Capacity, shared, “DiCentral gives us the extraordinary economies of scale. We are able to count on DiCentral to map several hundred retailers into one uniform file format. This allows us to focus on our core offerings like integrating with clients and fulfilling their orders.”
Campbell credits part of Capacity’s ability to adjust to industry changes to its partnership with DiCentral. “Their EDI solution is a critical asset in our tool box.”
Due to DiCentral’s EDI solution, Capacity has been able to focus on adding value to its clients, the retailers. This has been done by integrating with the websites and ERP systems of their retailers and focusing on their core business operations. Capacity and DiCentral have grown together and branched out from the original EDI platform to include other DiCentral solutions.
Cheers to many more years of growing success and innovation in the market!
