106-Year-Old Battery Products Manufacturer Taps DiCentral to Keep Up with Accelerated Growth

September 17, 2020

The NOCO Company (NOCO) — a business established in 1914 that designs, manufactures and distributes premium consumer battery chargers, jump starters, portable power devices and more — decided to ditch the antiquated system they had for order processing for high volume customers and switch to DiCentral’s innovative EDI solutions.

“NOCO selected DiCentral because they had had already successfully implemented their EDI integration solution with SAP By Design,” said Kevin Tucker, NOCO Director of Finance. “They also have extensive development and support resources to assist us, whereas their competitors seemed to be human-resource-constrained, which could cause us delays.”

When NOCO gets a new customer that requires them to employ EDI, DiCentral works with the NOCO customer’s EDI department to set everything up. With large customers such as Walmart and AutoZone, NOCO depends on the accuracy and efficiency that DiCentral’s EDI solutions consistently ensure.

“If orders don’t come in properly, it could cost us significant amounts of money from lost sales or penalties and fines levied by our customers,” Tucker, who oversees the IT aspects of NOCO, continued. “NOCO is run very lean and does not have an internal IT department. I’m very pleased with my decision to select DiCentral because of their cutting-edge solutions and customer service, and I recommend them to my connections seeking EDI solutions.”

NOCO has been growing rapidly over the last seven years, doubling in size every third year. By using DiCentral, they claim to save more than 1,200 hours per year through the integration of EDI with SAP, which eliminates most manual key entry for sales orders and invoices. This allows them to leverage their sales admin team by focusing on more value-added customer service issues. Given that the company is adding many new B2B customers every year, this is a better use of their employees’ time.

“We are proud partners of a company with such a rich history and extremely rapid growth,” said Thuy Mai, DiCentral CEO. “NOCO has made the right decision to utilize our solutions to maintain operational efficiency, helping their employees focus on the increasingly complex and unique needs of their ever-growing customer base.”
