System Beauty Depends on DiCentral to Deliver Products on Behalf of 50 Cosmetic Companies

DiCentral, a global B2Bi and API solutions provider, and the  Center for Supply Chain Research at Lehigh University (CSCRL), recently announced that System Beauty, a third-party logistics provider (3PL) that specializes in beauty products, has looked to DiCentral to help ensure its EDI integrations continue to run smoothly.

Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, System Beauty delivers cosmetic products worldwide to countless retailers, from Walmart to Neiman Marcus. The company also serves more than 50 cosmetic-specific companies such as Ulta, Sephora, Super Goop, and Macadamia. Mary Catherine Johnson, the founder, owner, and CEO for System Beauty, chose DiCentral 14 years ago and remains with the company to this day because of its proven customer service that she says translates into smoother partnerships for System Beauty.

“Before System Beauty, I was the CEO of another cosmetic company when I selected DiCentral,” Johnson said. “It was effortless to use DiCentral then, so I chose them again for System Beauty. Their customer service is unparalleled in the industry. They always respond quickly and with great resolution.”

System Beauty uses DiCentral for purchase order acknowledgments, sending advanced shipping notices (ASNs) and invoices, generating sales reports, and approving purchase orders.

“It’s easy to create the ASN in the system working with multiple SKUs and partners, and equally as easy to duplicate that process,” Johnson said. “That functionality sets DiCentral apart from its competitors.”

Johnson also stated that DiCentral eases the packing of orders as they are pulled into the system. "It's quite simple to pack the box in DiCentral," she said, noting that packing the box in the system is the same as packing the box in the warehouse, "That's important when it comes to preventing potentially costly errors."

DiCentral facilitates System Beauty's processes to meet compliance standards regarding the box count, content, and weight, as well as shipping dates and tracking information.

“DiCentral saves us money from a labor perspective because we have a high volume and get a bulk discount,” Johnson said. “We have a pricing agreement across all brands, and it’s a nice cost savings for us. DiCentral is an excellent overall value from a financial perspective.”

System Beauty has twelve sizeable accounts that reply upon DiCentral technology, with six to ten retailers tied to each account and fourteen System Beauty brand managers overseeing the relationships.
