Canadian Distributor Turns to DiCentral to Partner with Big Retailers

HOUSTON – June 11, 2018 – Integral Sense Brands, a Canadian-based distributing [BDV1] company, partnered with DiCentral to bring its clients’ cosmetic and skincare products to some of the largest retailers throughout Canada.

Using DiCentral’s cloud-based EDI platform to process purchase orders efficiently and on-time, set notification alerts, and create advance shipping notices, the small distributor was able to pique the interest of Hudson Bay Company and other major Canadian retailers. Today, Integral Sense Brands is generating new business that would not have been possible otherwise – and its products can be found in stores across the country.

Reggie Maharaj, customer support manager at Integral Sense Brands, explained that DiCentral’s EDI capabilities have not only created efficiency within his own company’s workflow, but also sparked new business opportunities that didn’t previously exist for Integral Sense Brands. Maharaj feels as though without DiCentral, it was difficult to gain big retail partners such as Hudson Bay Company or Holt Renfrew.

“We’re a small distributing company,” Maharaj said. “But as a company we needed to be EDI enabled before we were able to work with gigantic retailers. Therefore, we needed DiCentral.”

As the Integral Sense Brands’ portfolio grew, new retailers continued to express interest in Integral Sense Brands. According to Maharaj, most retailers have formal shipping and logistics processes that small distributors are required to comply with and because Integral Sense Brands already had DiCentral’s EDI services deployed, it made partnering with new retailers significantly easier.

“Because I can work directly with DiCentral, which has everything set up so nicely, I can navigate through the needs and requirements of prominent retailers,” Maharaj said. “Hudson Bay Company is the biggest retailer in Canada, and DiCentral helps us to give them exactly what they order every time.”

DiCentral’s EDI services allow small manufacturers and distributors like Integral Sense Brands to consistently work with ease.

“Connecting distributors such as Integral Sense Brands with large retailers illustrates DiCentral’s commitment to efficiency and reliability for all EDI customers,” said Thuy Mai, president and CEO of DiCentral. “Our cloud EDI solutions give distributors the flexibility to meet the needs of existing clients as well as connect with new ones.”
